One of us is partially sighted. The other has the directional sense of a blind mole. Somehow, between Andy, Michelle and a sat-nav that mostly says “turn around”, we still manage to find brilliant places, lovely people and unforgettable experiences.
TripTravel was created by Andy and Michelle to show that travel does not have to be perfect, polished or intimidating. It can be funny, accessible, chaotic, positive and full of moments you would never find in a brochure.
We are starting in Bergerac, the Dordogne and France, then expanding further as the journey grows. The aim is simple: prove that no matter what holds you back, there is still a world worth exploring.
Explore more. Eat well. Live adventure. Usually after one wrong turn and at least one argument with the sat-nav.
Andy is partially sighted and comes from a background in AI, computers, marketing, professional boxing and a bit of everything in between. He is also famously terrible at eating new things, which makes food videos more entertaining than they probably should be.
Michelle brings experience from customer service, banking and estate management. She also brings enthusiasm, common sense and the ability to eat absolutely anything placed in front of her. Navigation, however, is not her strongest department.
Together we visit restaurants, châteaux, gîtes, vineyards, attractions and hidden gems, creating positive videos that help people discover places worth visiting and help businesses show what makes them special.
That might be Michelle’s favourite sat-nav instruction, but it has also become part of the TripTravel spirit. Wrong turns often lead to the best views, the best meals and the best stories. We are here to show real places, real experiences and real travel from real people.
Our mission: to show that even with no eyesight, no directional sense and one very cautious eater, you can still enjoy everything the world has to offer.
Travel is better when it is honest, warm and a little bit ridiculous.
Michelle eats everything. Andy is learning. Slowly. Very slowly.
We want people to feel that travel is still possible, whatever holds them back.
